We loved working on the visualization, illustration, character design, and layout design for this adorable children’s book which is part of an initiative by The Tibet Fund to create regional literature for Tibetan children in Himachal Pradesh. We all love momos and it was an absolute pleasure to bring to life the cultural and geographical background of this delicious food that has now become so popular all over India. We visualized the text from the perspective of a child’s imagination, complete with fantasy and colourful Tibetan art. We chose to illustrate this by hand and colour it with pencil colours to make it more relatable to children and let them feel a closer bond with their cultural scenario.
